We have come across a 3-cylinder Toyota Yaris GR that has been tuned to produce an incredible 740 horsepower. In stock state, this 1.6L turbocharged hatchback makes 268 HP. Powertune Australia, a tuning company based in New South Wales, has managed to achieve this feat. The official dyno-tested figure is 740.9 HP. And to reach there, the Toyota Yaris GR has been fitted with multiple aftermarket parts. For example, the hatchback uses an upgraded head gasket, uprated head studs, and a turbo exhaust manifold. The tuners also fitted an upgraded intercooler with the necessary piping. The car runs on a MoTec plugin ECU. To handle the incredible output, the Yaris GT is using a six-speed sequential transmission from X-Shift and is mated to an ATS Triple Carbon clutch. There is a new supercar in India and it is none other than the McLaren Artura. The 680 PS plug-in hybrid supercar has been launched in the country at Rs 5.1 crore (ex-showroom). New Mahindra Compact SUV In the Works -KUV100 Replacement?

Recently, a test mule of the new Mahindra compact SUV was caught on camera in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. While there is no official word on the upcoming product, it’s reported to be a new micro SUV from the home-grown automaker. It could be introduced as a replacement to the KUV100 mini SUV, which was discontinued in April 2023. The KUX100 NXT was available with the 1.2L (82PS/115Nm) petrol engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Rumour has it that the brand’s new small SUV could be named – Mahindra XUV100. In the company’s product lineup, it will be positioned below the Mahindra XUV300 and put up against the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Hyundai Exter . Volvo Trucks Launches 5 New Safety Systems For Its Vehicles

Aiming to increase the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, and also facilitate the drivers’ work, Volvo Trucks is now introducing a range of new safety systems for its vehicles. Front Short Range Assist (included in the GSR) A front radar and camera are used to detect if someone is in front of the truck. Via a visual and sound signal, the system warns the driver if there is an imminent risk of a collision. Intelligent Speed Assist (included in the GSR) This feature keeps the driver informed about speed limits by detecting road speed signs and displaying the limit on the instrument panel. The system displays the speed limit for the actual vehicle combination and also warns, with both visuals and sound alerts, if the speed limit is exceeded. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (included in the GSR) This system monitors the tire pressure on the truck and trailer. Hyundai Exter, the all-new micro SUV from the South Korean automaker, will go on sale in India on 10 th July 2023. Bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced at initial sum of Rs 11,000. In the company’s product lineup, it will sit below the Venue subcompact SUV and take directly on the Tata Punch . The carmaker has already confirmed that the Exter will come in 15 variants spread across 5 trims – EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The mini SUV will be offered with three engine-gearbox combinations and 9 exterior colour options. Power for the new Exter comes from a 1.2L petrol engine that’s good enough for 83bhp and 113.8Nm. The 1.2L petrol motor also gets a factory-fitted CNG kit delivering power worth 69bhp and 95.2Nm of torque.
