Hyundai Exter Launch On 10th July – Price Expectations

Hyundai Exter, the all-new micro SUV from the South Korean automaker, will go on sale in India on 10th July 2023. Bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced at initial sum of Rs 11,000. In the company’s product lineup, it will sit below the Venue subcompact SUV and take directly on the Tata Punch. The carmaker has already confirmed that the Exter will come in 15 variants spread across 5 trims – EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The mini SUV will be offered with three engine-gearbox combinations and 9 exterior colour options.

Power for the new Exter comes from a 1.2L petrol engine that’s good enough for 83bhp and 113.8Nm. The 1.2L petrol motor also gets a factory-fitted CNG kit delivering power worth 69bhp and 95.2Nm of torque. While the 1.2L petrol unit can be had with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, the CNG is available with manual gearbox only.

The carmaker has introduced a new ‘Ranger Khaki’ colour scheme along with the Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Grey, Atlas White and Cosmic Blue shades. Buyers will get dual-tone colour schemes with Atlas White, Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki paint schemes. The Hyundai Exter is the first vehicle in its segment to come with the standard 6 airbags along with the dashcam with dual camera, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, hill assist control and tyre pressure monitoring system. The safety kit also includes ABS with EBD, 3-point seat belt and seatbelt reminder for all seats, rear parking snesors, emergency signal system, etc.

The Hyundai Exter mini SUV carries a new design language with a parametric-jewel-type front grille, split headlamps with H-pattern LEDs, flared wheel arches with thick cladding across the length, dual-tone alloy wheels, a faux silver skid plate, a floating roof effect, taillamps with H-pattern LED lighting elements and an upright tailgate.

While its prices will be revealed in the second week of July, the new Hyundai micro SUV is estimated to cost from Rs 6 lakh onwards. If it happens, it will be the most affordable SUV offering from the South Korean automaker in India.
