Tata Altroz With Sunroof – 16 Variants, Priced from Rs 7.90 Lakh

The time has gone when sunroof was considered as an exclusive feature for luxury cars. Now-a-days, it’s getting popular among mass market buyers and OEMs are offering it at the most affordable price possible. Tata Motors is one of the car manufacturers that’s leading the race. The carmaker recently introduced the sunroof across its Altroz hatchback model lineup, thus making it the most affordable car in India to offer this feature. The Tata Altroz sunroof-equipped variants are now priced from Rs 7.90 lakh to Rs 10.55 lakh. One must note that it’s available from the mid-spec XM+ trim and across 16 variants.

When compared with the non-sunroof variants, the Altroz’s sunroof-equipped models cost up to Rs 45,000 premium. The higher Asta and Asta (O) trims of the Hyundai i20 come with the sunroof feature, priced from Rs 9.03 lakh. However, the South Korean automaker will soon bring in the Hyundai Exter micro SUV with a single-pane sunroof. Though, it will be reserved for the higher trims. The Tata Altroz model lineup comes with the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options. While the NA and turbocharged petrol motors deliver a peak power of 86bhp and 110bhp respectively, the oil burner offers 90bhp. A 5-speed gearbox comes as standard, while a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission is available with the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine only.

Recently, the carmaker added 6 CNG variants to the Tata Altroz range, which are priced between Rs 7.55 lakh – Rs 10.55 lakh. It uses a 1.2L petrol engine with the dual-cylinder CNG setup. In CNG mode, it offers a peak power of 77bhp and 103Nm of torque.
