New MG Gloster Blackstorm Edition Prices, Features Explained

Morris Garages India has added a new sporty edition to its Gloster premium SUV model lineup. Called the MG Gloster Blackstorm Edition, the model has been priced at Rs 40.3 lakh for the 6 and 7-seater 2WD variants and Rs 43.08 lakh for the 6 and 7-seater 4WD variants. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. The special edition receives a few enhancements inside and out over the regular model, while its engine setup remains unchanged.

What’s So Special?

The special edition of the Gloster is being offered in two colour options – Metal Ash and Metal Black. The SUV has black elements on headlamp and foglamp housings, roof rails, alloy wheels, trim surrounding the window and taillamps. You can also notice red accents on the brake callipers, headlamps, wing mirrors and front and rear bumpers. The contrasting black and red treatment inside the cabin looks appealing. It has all-black upholstery and red accents on the dashboard and steering wheel.

What’s Remain Unchanged?

As mentioned above, the MG Gloster Blackstorm Edition uses the same 2.0L single turbo and 2.0L twin turbocharged diesel motors with 2WD and 4WD system respectively. The single turbo unit makes 163bhp and the twin-turbo engine is good for 218bhp. Transmission duties are done by an 8-speed gearbox. The 4WD version is exclusively offered with a BorgWarner transfer case with a shift-on-fly-system.

Similar to the regular model, the special edition measures 4985mm in length, 1926mm in width and 1867mm in height. In fact, the MG Gloster Blackstorm Edition has all goodies that are offered on the standard model. The feature list includes a dual panoramic sunroof, 12-way adjustable driver’s seat, 8-way adjustable passenger’s seat, ADAS, 12 speaker audio system, on-demand 4WD with seven drive modes, wireless phone charger, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, 64-colour ambient lighting, 360 degree camera, blind spot assist, etc.

MG Gloster 8-Seater Revealed

The carmaker has also revealed the Gloster with 8-seats configuration. The model is likely to come with the bench-type seats in the second and third rows. The 8-seater Gloster, which is based on the Savvy trim, has been priced at Rs 41.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
