Hyundai Motor India has started testing the CNG version of its top-selling Creta SUV in the country. A test mule of the Hyundai Creta CNG was recently caught on camera featuring a CNG equipment. The model is likely to be offered with the 1.4L GDi turbo petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit. Transmission on offer might include a 6-speed manual gearbox. Hyundai Motor Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK On Co., Ltd., a leading electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer, to secure a supply of EV batteries in North America. The signing of the MOU took place at SK Group Headquarters in Korea, participated by Heung-soo Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Future Growth Planning Division & EV Division of Hyundai Motor Group and Young-chan Choi, Chief Administrative Officer of SK On. Under the MOU, both parties will cooperate to provide SK On batteries to the Group’s plants in the U.S. after 2025 for the EV production. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki jointly developed two new SUVs, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Grand Vitara for the Indian market. Both SUVs were launched in September 2022 and received positive response from buyers. The new SUVs are currently available with two engine options – a 1.5-litre NA petrol and Toyota’s 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with strong hybrid tech. The JV is also aiming to add one more powertrain option to the mid-sized line-up, and both models will receive CNG version. Toyota has already started accepting bookings for the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Mahindra Scorpio N, XUV700 Recalled; Over 19,000 Units Affected

Mahindra & Mahindra has issued a recall for the XUV700 and Scorpio N SUVs to inspect rubber bellow inside bell housing. The recall exercise will include 12,566 units of the Mahindra XUV700 manual transmission variants and 6,618 units of the Mahindra Scorpio-N manual transmission models. All recalled variants are manufactured between 1 st July and 11 th November, 2022. The carmaker said that the sorting process error at the supplier’s plant may have affected operating dimensional clearance of rubber bellow inside bell housing. The inspection and rectification procedure will be free of charge. Customers will be individually contacted by the Mahindra dealerships. The Mahindra XUV700 comes with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol mStallion and 2.2L, four-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine options. As of now, there is no official information on the upcoming new Royal Enfield 450cc bikes. Though, we have seen the test mules of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 off-road motorcycle multiple times. Under this scheme, Tata Motors will provide its dealers additional inventory funding over and above their ICE finance limit with attractive pricing linked to Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR). The repayment tenure will range from 60 to 75 days. Furthermore, the bank will also offer additional limits to cater to high-demand phases, which will be available to dealers 3 times a year. The BMW Group is building a high-voltage battery assembly for the vehicles of the NEUE KLASSE at its site in Hungary. The battery assembly will be located on the site of the Debrecen vehicle plant, which started construction about six months ago. The company will create more than 500 additional jobs and invest over two billion euros in the construction and launch of the entire plant by the end of 2025. The assembly of high-voltage batteries will be located on the site of the Debrecen vehicle plant. Markus Fallböhmer, Senior Vice President of Battery Production at the BMW Group, explains: “The BMW iFACTORY is also about ensuring short distances for logistics.
