Single-Seat Royal Enfield 350cc Bobber Under Development
We reported earlier that Royal Enfield is preparing a wide range of new motorcycles under its 350cc and 650cc engine platform. Royal Enfield will also launch 5 new motorcycles including the new Himalayan 450 on the upcoming 450cc platform. After introducing the new Hunter 350, Royal Enfield will soon launch the new Bullet on the new 350cc J platform in the country.
A new media report claims that Royal Enfield is also working on a new 350cc Bobber for the Indian market. It will be a new variant of the Classic 350, suggesting that it will share multiple underpinnings with the RE’s bestseller. The new Royal Enfield 350cc Bobber will sport a single-seat layout with a cantilevered rider’s seat.
The motorcycle has a raised handlebar that should offer a more upright riding position. The new RE 350cc Bobber will come with wire-spoke wheels, a flat, long exhaust pipe, and small hood over the headlight. The motorcycle will have a differently styled tail-lamp to make it look different from the original Classic 350.
The new motorcycle will be powered by the 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The new motorcycle will rival the Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber. It is expected to be priced around Rs 2 lakh.
