Upcoming 2024 Kia Carnival – Big Changes Explained

The fourth-generation Kia Carnival is set to be the next major launch from the South Korean automaker in India. The MPV’s new model was showcased as the KA4 concept at the 2023 Auto Expo, followed by its global unveil in November 2023. Kia has confirmed that the all-new Carnival will arrive towards the end of this year, possibly by September or October. Like its predecessor, the new 2024 Kia Carnival will come via the CKD route, with prices expected to range from Rs 26 lakh to Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom). Here are the key details of the upcoming new Carnival.

New Kia Carnival side profile

Starting with the interior, the 2024 Kia Carnival will feature a dual screen setup with 12.3-inch units integrated into the center of the dashboard. The AC and audio controls will also be revised and placed below the central screen.

The MPV will include front and rear dash cams, a rotary drive selector, a digital rearview mirror, a Head-Up Display, ambient lighting, an updated digital key, and an optional 14.6-inch rear entertainment screen. Its enhanced cabin sound insulation will further elevate the premium feel.

2024 Kia Carnival rear

The new 2024 Kia Carnival will undergo significant design changes, particularly at the front end. The MPV will feature a newly-designed grille, a revised bumper, and new headlamps with prominent LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). The rear bumper will have narrower lights with metallic trim, and the back section will be updated with a repositioned logo, license plate, and tweaked taillamps. Compared to the previous model, the all-new Carnival will be longer, measuring 5,156mm in length.

In India, the new Kia Carnival is likely to retain the existing 2.2L, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with an automatic gearbox. Globally, the MPV is offered with three powertrains: a 2.2L diesel, a 1.6L petrol with an electric motor, and a 3.5L petrol.
