Mahindra XUV 3XO

Mahindra XUV 3XO

The new Mahindra XUV 3XO subcompact SUV has already generated considerable buzz, thanks to a series of teaser videos revealing design details and interior features. In the latest teaser video, the carmaker has revealed that the SUV will promise an ARAI-certified mileage of 20.1kmpl, likely attributed to the diesel-automatic combo. It can do 0 to 60kmph in 4.5 seconds. Similar to its predecessor, the Mahindra XUV 3XO will come with the 1.2L turbo petrol, 1.2L TGDi petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. The oil burner could be exclusively offered with a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.

Mahindra will equip its new subcompact SUV with lots of goodies include a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system with the latest wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, dual zone climate control, Harman Kardon-sourced 7-speaker music system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, auto dimming IRVM and more.

2024 Maruti Swift

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift

The new-generation Maruti Swift is surely one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. The hatchback will come with significantly improved design and a more upscale interior. However, the major highlight will be its all-new 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine replacing the existing K-Series motor. The new 3-cylinder engine will also be offered with the mild hybrid tech, boosted its power and torque figures by 3bhp and 60Nm, respectively. The gasoline unit (without mild hybrid) pushes out a peak power of 82bhp and 108Nm of torque.

Many of the design changes and feature upgrades will be inspired by the Fronx compact crossover. The 2024 Maruti Swift is 15mm longer, 40mm narrower and 30mm taller than its current generation. However, its wheelbase remains unchanged – i.e. 2,450mm. The hatchback will get a new dashboard design along with a floating touchscreen infotainment system, instrument cluster, steering wheel, HVAC controls and multiple switch gears as we have seen in the Fronx.
