New Hero Vida Electric Scooter Coming Soon – Design Patented

Hero MotoCorp is looking to add more electric scooters in the Vida line-up. The company plans to launch an all-new electric scooter, as the design of the new e-scooter has now been patented. This new e-scooter is likely to be positioned under the existing VIDA models and will come as an affordable model.

The new mass-market electric scooter will come with a more affordable price tag. The patent image reveals that the e-scooter has a front drum brake and the pillion sidestep. However, it will continue to be offered with LED indicators. The scooter has angular headlight, which seems inspired from the Hero Xtreme 160R. The new Hero electric scooter has split seat, and a usable grab rail and luggage hook behind the rider’s feet. These additions will make it quite practical and spacious than the existing VIDA e-scooters.

The details about the battery pack, electric motor and features of the new e-scooter are yet to be revealed. However, it is likely to offer similar numbers as the Vida V1 range. Instead of swappable batteries, the newly electric scooter could receive a more cost-conscious fixed battery pack.

The FAME subsidy of the Indian Government will be replaced by the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 on April 1. The electric scooters are likely to receive some price hike. It is early to comment whether the upcoming VIDA electric scooter will be priced similar to the competitions like the OLA S1X and the upcoming Ather Rizta.
