Tata Punch EV Effect – Top-Spec Citroen eC3 Shine Launched
Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited Punch EV with several segment-leading range and features. The Punch EV is a direct rival to the Citroen eC3, which has received decent response from car buyers. In order to improve sales, Citroen has added a new top-spec variant to the eC3 electric line-up. The new Citroen eC3 Shine variant is priced in the range of Rs 13.20 lakh – 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Citroen eC3 is basically an all-electric iteration of the C3 hatchback. In terms of pricing, the eC3 is positioned right between the Tata Tiago EV and the Punch EV. The top-spec Citroen eC3 Shine comes with multiple features, which were missing in the lower variants. It comes fitted with electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, a rear parking camera, front and rear faux skid plates and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The eC3 Shine rides on 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The Citroen eC3 is also equipped with features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android, height adjustable driver’s seat and 4-speaker audio system. Similar to the Feel trim, the eC3 Shine variant is also offered with the Vibe Pack.
The Citroen C3 electric is fitted with a 29.2kWh battery pack and a front-axle mounted electric motor. The powertrain offers 57PS of power and 143Nm of torque. It is claimed to offer a range of up to 320km, which is significantly lower than the Tata Punch EV’s 421km range (35kWh battery pack). The Tata Tiago EV is also equipped with 24kWh battery pack and offers a range of up to 315km on a single charge.
The added features make the Citroen eC3 more competitive. The Tata Punch EV is priced in the range of Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh. The top-spec model is equipped with a host of features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, a 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charger, ventilated front seats, a blind spot monitor, leatherette seats, etc.
