Hero Mavrick 440 Deliveries From April; Bookings, All Details
Hero MotoCorp has presented two new motorcycles – the Xtreme 125R and the Mavrick 440 in the Indian market. The company has announced the prices of the Xtreme 125R; however, the Hero Mavrick 440 prices will be released in the near future. Bookings for the new Mavrick motorcycle will commence in February, while deliveries will begin in April 2024.
The new 440cc motorcycle will be sold through Hero’s Premia dealer network. The company currently has 3 Premia dealer network, which will be increased to 100 dealerships by June. The new motorcycle is designed and developed by Hero MotoCorp and will be positioned against the Triumph Speed 400, Honda CB300R and others in the segment.
3 Variants, 5 Colours
The new Hero Mavrick 440 is available in 3 variants – Base, Mid and Top. The Base variant is offered in a single Arctic White colour, while the Mid variant is offered in 2 paint jobs – Fearless Red and Celestial Blue. The Top variant is also available in two colours – Phantom Black and Engima Black.
Hero Mavrick 440 Design & Features
The new Mavrick looks completely different from the Harley-Davidson X440. It has a more roadster presence with comfortable single-seat and easy to use grab handles. The footpegs are more mid-set and low-set wide handlebar will give a more comfortable riding position. It has muscular fuel tank with metal styling body parts, round LED projector headlamps, daytime running lights (DRLs), and an ‘intelligent automatic headlight’.
In terms of proportions, the new Hero Mavrick is 2100mm long, 868mm wide and 1112mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1388mm. The wheelbase is good 30mm shorter than the Harley-Davdison X440 and just 11mm longer than the Triumph Speed 400. The motorcycle offers a seat height of 803mm, which is good enough to accommodate average Indian height buyers. It offers a ground clearance of 175mm. The motorcycle with alloy wheels has a kerb weight of 187kg, while the Spoke wheel version weighs 191kg. It has a fuel tank of 13.5-litre capacity.
The new motorcycle comes with digital speedometer with negative display, which offers Smart Phone Feature (Phone Battery Status, Miss call Alert, Bluetooth Message Alert), Incoming Call Alert, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Low Fuel Indicator, RTMi Display, Distance to Empty etc. The Mavrick 440 also comes with e-SIM based connectivity, which enables real-time information, remote tracking and access to over 35 functions through Connected 2.0 technology.
Hero Mavrick 440 Specifications
The new Hero Mavrick 440 is powered by an Air cooled with oil cooler 2V single-cylinder 440cc ‘TorqX’ engine with electronic fuel injection. This long-strong engine is capable of producing 27bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 36Nm at 4,000rpm. Hero claims that the powertrain is designed to offer high low-end torque, as 90% of the peak torque is available from just 2000rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The Mavrick is based on the Trellis Frame, which is suspended with telescopic front fork with 130mm travel and Hydrualic Rear twin shox swingarm mount with 130mm travel. It rides on 17-inch wheels with 110/70 and 150/60 section tyres at the front and rear, respectively. For braking, the motorcycle gets 320mm front disc and 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS system as standard.
