2024 Tata Altroz Facelift Testing Begins – What to Expect?
Tata Motors has officially announced the launch of facelifts for the Altroz and Punch models in 2024 and 2025, respectively. In fact, the company has started testing of the Altroz facelift, and spy shots taken during emission testing reveal a heavily camouflaged test mule. Although the design details are concealed, it is anticipated that the 2024 Tata Altroz facelift will undergo subtle cosmetic changes, including revised bumpers, possibly influenced by Tata’s upcoming SUV lineup.
While the exterior is expected to remain largely similar to the current model, substantial upgrades are foreseen within the cabin. Spy images suggest that the new Altroz will feature a bigger touchscreen infotainment system positioned at the center of the dashboard, likely a 10.25-inch unit as seen in the updated Nexon and Punch EV. The updated hatchback may also offer additional features such as a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, air purifier, and six airbags.
No alterations are anticipated under the hood, as the 2024 Tata Altroz facelift is expected to retain the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2L turbo petrol engines, generating 88bhp and 110bhp, respectively. The hatchback will also be available with a CNG powertrain, featuring a 1.2L petrol engine enhanced with Tata’s twin-cylinder CNG technology. Transmission options will continue with the existing model, offering a 5-speed manual and 6-speed DCT.
Following the launch of the Altroz facelift, Tata Motors plans to introduce the Altroz Racer, previously showcased at the Auto Expo. Positioned as a sportier and more powerful variant of the hatchback, the Altroz Racer’s official specifications are yet to be disclosed. However, it is likely to be equipped with the 120bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol engine or Tata’s new 125bhp, 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol engine, which will also power the upcoming Tata Curvv coupe SUV.
More details on the upcoming 2024 Tata Altroz facelift are likely to be revealed in near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
