New 2024 Honda Amaze – All Details We Know So Far
In a strategic move to rejuvenate its presence within the Indian automotive market, Honda has introduced the Elevate mid-size SUV, positioned to compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. This initiative has proven to be a success for the company, evident in the positive trajectory of its sales figures. Looking forward, the Japanese automaker has outlined plans to diversify its product portfolio, introducing five new models by 2030. Among these, the third-generation Amaze, a novel compact SUV to replace the WR-V, an extended version of the Elevate as a 7-seater SUV, and an electric variant of the Elevate are ready to take center stage.
The Honda Amaze, a subcompact sedan bearing the insignia of the Japanese automaker, made its debut in the Indian market in 2013. Following a generational overhaul in 2018 and a subsequent mid-life update in 2021, the sedan is now set for its third incarnation, scheduled for the latter half of 2024. This forthcoming iteration promises substantial alterations in design, interior aesthetics, and feature offerings.
A notable highlight of the third-gen Honda Amaze will be the incorporation of the Honda Sensing Suite – an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) technology. This suite will grant access to an array of sophisticated safety features, including lane assistance, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and more. Drawing inspiration from the Elevate mid-size SUV, the sedan is likely to inherit features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting, wireless phone charger, 7.0-inch semi-analogue instrument cluster, and a lane-watch camera. Under the hood, no substantial changes are anticipated. The 2024 Honda Amaze will retain the reliable 1.2L, 4-cylinder iVTEC engine, complemented by the 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. This powertrain delivers a commendable peak power of 90bhp and a torque of 110Nm.
Presently, the Amaze model lineup is priced within the range of Rs 7.10 lakh to Rs 9.86 lakh (ex-showroom). However, with the introduction of the third-gen model featuring multiple enhancements, a slight premium in pricing can be anticipated. Further details regarding the 2024 Honda Amaze are slated to be unveiled in the near future, stay tuned to IndiaCarNews for the latest updates.
