New Mahindra XUV300 Coming With Major Feature Upgrades
The Mahindra XUV300, introduced in early 2019, is set to undergo a substantial update in the coming months, with extensive testing already underway. Despite facing stiff competition from models like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift aims to maintain its competitive edge. While the official launch date is yet to be announced, reports suggest it will likely hit the market in the early months of 2024.
The upcoming XUV300 facelift will introduce several noteworthy features, making it the first in its segment to offer a panoramic sunroof. Another significant highlight will be the addition of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. The subcompact SUV will feature a larger freestanding infotainment system with an enhanced user interface, continuing to support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The dashboard design will undergo revisions to enhance overall aesthetics.
In a bid to provide increased value for money, Mahindra might incorporate additional features such as a 360-degree camera, a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and the AdrenoX UI with over-the-air (OTA) updates.
The XUV300 will retain its existing features, including dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and go, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rearview camera, cruise control, electronic stability program, hill hold control, front parking sensors, auto-dimming IRVM, and leatherette seats. The engine lineup will remain unchanged from the pre-facelift model, featuring the 1.2L turbo petrol (110PS/200Nm), 1.2L turbo petrol GDI (130PS/250Nm), and 1.5L turbo diesel (117PS/300Nm) options. However, the current 6-speed AMT gearbox is rumored to be replaced with a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, with a standard 6-speed manual unit.
The design of the XUV300 facelift will see noticeable changes inspired by the Mahindra BE05 electric SUV concept. The front end will showcase a newly-designed grille, revised bumper, and tweaked headlamps with new C-shaped LED DRLs. Additionally, the SUV will feature new alloy wheels, a redesigned boot lid, and new C-shaped LED taillamps.
