Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Launching Within 6 Months – New Details

We reported earlier that Bajaj Auto will soon introduce its biggest Pulsar ever in the market. While details about the new motorcycles were not shared, a new media report claims that the new motorcycle will be called the Bajaj Pulsar NS400. It will be launched in the first quarter of 2024.

The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will join the popular NS200 that debuted 11 years back. The new motorcycle will join the Dominar 400 in the highly competitive sub-500cc motorcycle segment. The report claims that the new Pulsar NS400 will be based on the existing perimeter chassis that underpins the NS200. This platform is compatible to accommodate a more powerful and bigger capacity engine.

Bajaj engineers will update the chassis to make it stronger, which will be able to accomodate a bigger engine. The motorcycle will have compact dimensions and aggressive styling. The compact design will help in weight saving, as the new NS400 is likely weigh less than the 193kg Dominar.

Bajaj is producing 3 different engines in the same sub-400cc category – the 373cc engine that powers the Dominar, a new 398cc engine for the Triumph Speed 400 and a new 399cc engine for the third-gen KTM 390 Duke. The report claims that Bajaj will use the existing 373cc engine that powers the Dominar. This engine produces 40hp, which is very similar to the Triumph’s 399cc engine. It will come with a six-speed gearbox and a slip assist clutch.

Design wise, the new motorcycle is expected to share the styling elements with the popular NS200. Bajaj designers could give it a more modern look with unique set of stickers and new lighting design. The NS400 will come with USD front fork and a monoshock at the rear. It will have dual discs and dual-channel ABS system. The motorcycle is also likely to get a full digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will be positioned below the Dominar 400, which is priced at Rs 2.3 lakh. The new bike could be cost under Rs 2 lakh and will be the most affordable 400cc bike in India.
