2024 Skoda Kodiaq New Gen Design Sketches – October 4 Reveal

Czech automaker, Skoda has released exterior design sketches of the new gen Kodiaq SUV that is scheduled to make global debut on October 4, 2023. Not just exterior, Skoda had already revealed the interiors and engine options of the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq. The second generation Kodiaq will also make its way to our market, most probably in 2024.

The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq will be offered in both 5- and 7-seat options. The new SUV comes with a signature Skoda design, featuring the Kushaq-like grille and a second-gen split LED matrix headlamp setup. The SUV retains the boxy-like styling with squared-off wheel arches. It will be offered in 4 wheel sizes starting from a 17-inch to a 20-inch.

The rear profile of the new Kodiaq is completely re-designed. The D-pillar comes with the optional finish of ‘dark chrome’. Adding to it, the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq gets the C-shaped tail-light that are connected by a red bar. The SKODA lettering is placed above the red bar. It measures 4,758mm in length that makes it 61mm and 59mm longer than before compared to the 5-seat and 7-seat versions, respectively. Skoda has not made any changes to the height, width and wheelbase.

The new Kodiaq interior has also seen several changes, featuring physical controls for the HVAC system and other buttons. The console has three knobs, two of them for controlling temperature and seat ventilation. The middle knob is used to control volume and fan speed. The SUV comes with driving modes as standard, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10-inch digital instrument console.

2024 Skoda Kodiaq Interior

The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq will be offered with multiple engine options including petrol, diesel and PHEV. The petrol versions will be offered with a 1.5-litre TSI with a mild hybrid system, and a 204bhp, 2.0-litre TSI with a four-wheel drive system.

The diesel version will be powered by a 2.0-litre TDI engine coupled to a 7-speed DCT. The engine offers two states of tunes – a 150bhp and a 193bhp with a four-wheel-drive system. The SUV also comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, featuring a 1.5-litre TSI engine combined with a 25.7kWh battery pack, and a 6-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox. The combined power output is 204bhp. The company claims that the PHEV version will offer an electric-only range of more than 100km.
