Toyota Rumion Prices Start at Rs 10.29 Lakh – Compared With Ertiga

The official pricing for the new Toyota Rumion compact MPV has been unveiled. The model range encompasses six variants spanning across three trims: S, G, and V. The introductory S manual and automatic iterations are priced at Rs 10.29 lakh and Rs 11.89 lakh, respectively. The mid-tier G manual version holds a price tag of Rs 11.45 lakh, while the apex V manual and automatic versions are offered at Rs 12.18 lakh and Rs 13.68 lakh, respectively. Additionally, the S trim offers the option of a CNG fuel variant priced at Rs 11.24 lakh. These prices are all ex-showroom figures.

Relative to its donor model, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Toyota Rumion comes with a slightly higher price tag. The Ertiga’s base LXi variant is priced at Rs 8.64 lakh, and the premium ZXi+ manual version is available for Rs 11.58 lakh. The entry-level VXi and top-end ZXi+ automatic versions carry price points of Rs 11.28 lakh and Rs 13.08 lakh, respectively. In the Ertiga lineup, the VXi (O) CNG variant is priced at Rs 10.73 lakh, and the feature-rich ZXi (O) CNG variant is offered at Rs 11.83 lakh.

Much like the Maruti Ertiga, the Toyota Rumion is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering a commendable output of 103bhp and 137Nm. With the inclusion of a CNG kit, the same engine achieves 88bhp and 121.5Nm. Buyers can choose between two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Distinguishing the Rumion from the Maruti Ertiga are several cosmetic alterations. The new Toyota MPV showcases a grille inspired by the Innova Crysta, accompanied by projector headlamps. The vehicle also features fresh dual-tone alloy wheels and vertically aligned LED taillamps. Its color palette offers five options: Rustic Brown, Enticing Silver, Iconic Grey, Café White, and Spunky Blue.

Standard features of the Toyota Rumion encompass dual front airbags, a seat belt reminder, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, Isofix child seat mounts, 12V power sockets in both rows, second-row 3-speed AC, 4 speakers, bottle holders in all rows, steering-mounted controls, and more. Advanced features, such as a rear parking camera, 6 airbags, cruise control, key-operated retractable wing mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and auto headlamps, are reserved for the top-tier V trim.

The MPV also offers an array of features including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Toyota’s connected car technology, climate control, two tweeters, teak wood finish on the dashboard and front door trims, height-adjustable driver’s seat, engine push start/stop, central sliding armrest with front-row storage, and an assortment of other conveniences.
