Skoda is gearing up to unveil the fourth-generation Superb towards the end of 2023, and ahead of its global debut, the automaker has revealed the powertrain details of the executive sedan. The 2024 Skoda Superb will be available with multiple powertrain options, including two petrol engines, two diesel engines, and a plug-in hybrid variant. The lower trims will feature a 1.5L TSI mild hybrid engine, while the higher trims will offer a 2.0L TSI motor with two power outputs – 201bhp and 261bhp. The more powerful version with 261bhp will come equipped with a 4WD (four-wheel drive) system.

For the diesel version, the 2.0L engine will be offered in two states of tune – 148bhp and 190bhp, with the 4WD drivetrain system exclusively available with the 190bhp models. All engines will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. As for the plug-in hybrid variant, it will combine the 1.5L TSI engine with a 25.7kWh battery pack, delivering a combined power output of 201bhp and capable of achieving 100km in electric mode. The plug-in hybrid will be paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic unit.
