The next 3 months will witness several exciting new product launches from car manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Honda, Volkswagen and Kia. The lineup will include all-new models, facelifts, new variants and special editions. Here’re some key details of the upcoming new cars.

Bookings for the Altroz CNG have already been commenced at an initial sum of Rs 21,000. Prices of the model will be announced next month. The hatchback model lineup will get four CNG variants – XE, XM+, XZ and XZ+, packed with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine and a CNG kit. It has new dual-cylinder setup under the boot floor with each tank capacity of 30-litres. In CNG mode, it delivers a peak power of 77bhp and 97Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Maruti Jimny 5-door, the upcoming lifestyle, off-road SUV from the Indo-Japanese automaker, will come in Zeta and Alpha trims. Under the hood, the model features a 1.5L K15B petrol engine that’s good enough for 105bhp and 134Nm. The motor is boosted with mild hybrid tech and comes with two gearbox options – a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. Features such as SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, Arkamys sound system, automatic climate control and automatic headlamps are reserved for the top-end trim. More details here…

New Volkswagen Virtus Variants – June

The German automaker will introduce a new 1.5L TSI petrol, manual variant of the Volkswagen Virtus sedan in June 2023. It will be based on the top-end GT Plus trim. The company will also roll out the special ‘GT Edge Limited Collection’ Edition of the Virtus with 1.5L TSI petrol engine and both manual and automatic gearboxes. Similar to the Virtus, the Volkswagen Taigun SUV model lineup will be expanded with two new variants and special editions. It will get the new 1.5L TSI turbo petrol GT and GT Plus trims. The range will also receive Taigun ‘GT Edge Limited Collection’ in new colour schemes – Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Matte. New Honda SUV (Unveiling)

Honda Cars India will unveil its all-new midsize SUV in the month of June. It will be positioned against the cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder. Design and styling of the new Honda SUV will be inspired by the new Honda WR-V and CR-V SUVs. Its length will be between 4.2 to 4.3 metres and it will share its platform with the new City sedan. The SUV is likely to come with the 121bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and the strong hybrid powertrain. There will be no diesel engine option. More details here…

The updated Kia Seltos is expected to go on sale in June or July 2023. One of the major updates will come in the form of a new 160bhp/253Nm, 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The SUV will also be available with the existing 115bhp/144Nm, 1.5L petrol and 115bhp/250Nm, 1.5L turbo diesel engines. There will be four gearboxes on offer a 6-speed MT, a 6-speed iMT, a 6-speed AT and a CVT. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will come with ADAS tech along with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a panoramic sunroof. New Maruti MPV Launch

The Indo-Japanese automaker has confirmed a new premium MPV arrival by July 2023. It will be the first cross-badged model from Maruti Suzuki, based on the Toyota Innova Hycross. It will be Maruti Suzuki’s most expensive car in the country. The MPV is likely to come with slightly different styling inspired by the Grand Vitara SUV. In fact, the interior theme could be similar to its SUV sibling. Most of its design elements, platform, features, components and powertrains will be exactly similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross.
