2023 Honda City

New 2023 Honda City Variants

Japanese automaker, Honda is all set to launch the new City facelift in the country on 2nd March, 2023. The new model will receive some design changes along with new features. Honda dealerships have already started accepting pre-orders for the new model. The City hybrid will receive a new entry-level variant. Moreover, the regular petrol versions will also receive ADAS tech. The ADAS tech was earlier offered with the City hybrid version. It will continue to be offered with two engine options – a 121bhp, 1.5L NA petrol and a 98bhp, 1.5L Atkison cycle engine with e:HEV strong hybrid tech.

Honda had released a new SUV teaser in January 2023. The production version of the SUV is scheduled to make global debut in the second quarter, while launch could take place by festive season, 2023. The upcoming Honda SUV will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, VW Taigun & Skoda Kushaq. The new model will be based on the modified Amaze platform. It will receive Honda’s Lane Watch system and a camera-based advanced driver assistance system or ADAS. The new SUV will be offered with two engine options – a 121bhp, 1.5L iVTEC petrol and a 98bhp, 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with e:HEV hybrid tech with two electric motors.

Next-gen Honda Amaze

Honda is also preparing the next-gen Amaze compact sedan, which will go on sale in 2024. The new model will be based on the modified version of its existing platform, which will be used for the upcoming new Honda mid-size SUV. The new model is expected to receive significant design changes and an all-new interior. It is likely to be powered by a 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 90bhp and 110Nm. Transmission options will also be the same – a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The sedan could also get a strong hybrid version.

2023 Hyundai Verna

New 2023 Hyundai Verna rear

Hyundai will launch the next-gen Verna sedan in the country on March 21, 2023. The 2023 Hyundai Verna will come with all-new design and a completely revised interior along with new engine options. The sedan will grow in size, which should help Hyundai to create more space inside the cabin. It will be offered with two petrol engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol and a 160bhp, 1.5L turbocharged petrol. The turbo unit will be offered with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Hyundai Mini SUV

Hyundai Ai3 Casper Design

Hyundai will introduce a new micro SUV, codenamed Ai3, in the country before the end of this year or early next year. In fact, the new Hyundai Ai3 micro SUV has been spotted testing in Korea. It will be the smallest and most affordable SUV from the company in the country, and will rival the Tata Punch. The micro SUV will be based on the brand’s small car K1 platform, which also underpins the Santro, Grand i10 Nios, Aura and the global-spec Hyundai Casper. It is likely to get a 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 81bhp and 114Nm of torque. The company could also offer a CNG option. Both manual and AMT gearbox options will be on offer.

New Hyundai Creta

2023 Hyundai Creta facelift

Hyundai has officially announced that the new Creta SUV will be launched in our market in 2024. The new Hyundai Creta will receive design changes and upgraded interior along with new engine options. The new Creta will also be equipped with advanced driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance, blind spot monitoring, lane assist and others. The new Hyundai Creta will receive a new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine instead of the existing 1.4-litre turbo engine. This engine produces 160PS and 260Nm of torque. Other engine options will include a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5-litre turbo diesel.
