3 New BMW Cars To Launch By August 2023 – All Key Details

The German luxury carmaker will roll out three new cars in India in coming months. While the second-generation BMW M2 and Z4 facelift are reported to hit roads by May, the updated BMW X5 will go on sale by August 2023. Here’re some key details of the upcoming new BMW cars.

2023 BMW M2 India Price

In India, the new BMW M2 will come as a fully imported unit. At the heart of the coupe is a R6, 3.0L twin turbo V6 engine paired to an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox. It can also be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The motor pushes out a peak power of 460bhp and 550Nm of torque. There will be 5 exterior colour options – Toronto Red, Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Zandvoort Blue and Brooklyn Grey. Some of its key features include a Harman Kardon sound system, BMW connected package, power seats with memory function, Comfort access system, wireless charging, adaptive LED headlamps with high beam assist, silver finish M light 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels and more. While the aforementioned features will come as standard fitments, there will be several optional equipment. The 2023 BMW M2 price in India is expected to around Rs 1 crore.

2023 BMW Z4 Facelift

The 2023 BMW Z4 facelift will be made available in a single, fully-loaded M40i variant, powered by a 3.0L inline-six engine. The unit returns a claimed power of 382bhp and 500Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox will come as standard. Buyers will get 7 exterior paint schemes and three interior two options – Cognac or Magma red leather and Black. The standard feature kit of the updated Z4 will include M leather wrapped steering wheel, adaptive M suspension, M Sport differential, M Sport brake package, cruise control with braking, tyre pressure monitoring system, loudspeaker audio, BMW live cockpit, wireless charging and more. Here, it’s estimated to be priced around Rs 90 lakh.

BMW India will introduce the X5 facelift with minor exterior and interior updates by August 2023. Globally, the SUV is offered with multiple petrol, diesel and petrol-electric plug-in powertrain options. The India-spec version will continue to use the existing petrol and diesel engines. Few of its cosmetic changes will be inspired by the new BMW X7 SUV. Interior of the new 2023 BMW X5 facelift will have a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW’s latest 8.0 iDrive operating system. The SUV will also get BMW Live Cockpit Plus system along with the optional panoramic glass sunroof with LED illumination, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a HUD unit with augmented reality functionality and more.
