Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid Waiting Period Hits 12 Months

Toyota has started delivering the Innova Hycross hybrid and non-hybrid variants to customers in India. The 3-row MPV is available at a price tag of Rs 18.30 lakh for the base petrol variant, which goes up to Rs 28.97 lakh for the top-spec strong hybrid model. The new model can be booked online or at authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000.

The Innova Hycross non-hybrid version is available in 4 variants – G-SLF (7S), G-SLF (8S), GX (7S) and GX (8S) – priced between Rs 18.30 lakh and Rs 19.20 lakh. The hybrid version is available with 4 variants – VX (7S), VX (8S), ZX and ZX (O) – priced between Rs 24.01 lakh and Rs 28.97 lakh.

The report claims that the deliveries for the new Hycross commenced on a first come first serve basis at most locations. The new Innova Hycross hybrid has received the majority of the bookings, and majority of deliveries are for the hybrid version. It is reported that the lower variants of the hybrid version command a waiting period of around 10 months. On the other hand, the Hycross hybrid top variants have a waiting time of almost one year. The non-hybrid version of the MPV currently commands a waiting period of around 4 to 6 months.

The new model is available in a total of 5 trim levels – G, GX, VX, ZX and ZX(O). It is offered in 7 exterior colour options – Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Platinum White Pearl, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Avant-garde Bronze Metallic, Attitude Black Mica and Super White.

Toyota Innova Hycross Interior Details

The new model is based on a monocoque front-wheel-drive platform and rides on a 100mm longer wheelbase compared to the previous model. It measures 4755mm in length, 1845mm in width and 1785mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2850mm. The MPV also comes with Toyota Safety Sense suite of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) with features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert and pre-collision system. Other safety features include 6 airbags, traction control, electronic stability program and ABS with EBD.

It is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 2.0-litre petrol with Toyota’s self-charging strong hybrid tech. While the former is good for 172bhp and 205Nm, and is paired to a CVT gearbox, the hybrid powertrain offers a combined power output of 186bhp and comes with an e-Drive transmission. The strong hybrid model is claimed to deliver an ARAI certified fuel economy of 21.1kmpl and offers a range of 1097km on a full fuel tank.
