Mahindra XUV400 Bookings Open; Prices Start At 15.99 Lakh

The bookings for the newly launched Mahindra XUV400 EV have commenced online or at authorised dealerships at a token amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries for the new model will begin from March 2023. It is available in two variants – EC and EL – priced at Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh respectively. These are introductory prices and are only applicable for the first 5,000 units.

The new Mahindra XUV400 electric is available with two battery packs – a 34.5kWh with EC variant and a 39.4kWh battery pack with EL variant. The batteries power the front axle-mounted electric motor that pushes out 150bhp and 310Nm of torque. The XUV400 EV is the fastest model in its category. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 8.3 second before hitting a top speed of 150kmph.

The 34.5kWh battery pack is claimed to offer a driving range of 375km on a single charge. The bigger battery pack offers a driving range of 456km on a single charge. This electric SUV offers three driving modes – Fun, Fast and Fearless. These modes adjust the steering and throttle response and also change the level of regenerative braking. The battery can be charged from zero to 80 percent in less than 50 minutes using a 50kWh DC fast charger. The battery can be fully charged using a 7.2kW or 3.3kW AC charger in 6 hours 30 minutes, and 13 hours, respectively.

Based on the XUV300 platform, the new XUV400 measures 4,200mm in length, 1,821mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,600mm. It has a boot space of 378-litres that can further be extended by up to 418-litres. The SUV has a closed-off body-coloured front grille with copper treatment for twin peaks logo and on bumper. The SUV rides on dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the SUV gets projector headlamps with integrated daytime running lamps.

Inside the cabin, the new Mahindra XUV400 gets all-black scheme and leatherette seats with blue stitching. In terms of features, the EV gets an electric sunroof, electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 60:40 split seats, six airbags, all-4 disc brakes and others.
