Hyundai IONIQ 5 vs BYD Atto 3 – Specs, Features and Price Comparison

Hyundai Motors India has recently launched its second electric offering in India in the form of the IONIQ 5 crossover. Sharing its underpinnings with the Kia EV6, the electrified UV comes at an introductory price of Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be seen as a premium alternative to the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV. Although the aforementioned EV is also new on the market, it is attracting a lot of interest from buyers.

Verdict

Both electric vehicles are well equipped and have quirky design details that make them stand out. However, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 has a bigger battery pack, delivers more performance, and offers more range. In addition, Hyundai’s extensive service network and customer trust in its brand back the IONIQ 5. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if buyers consider the IONIQ 5’s advantages significant enough to warrant the extra cost over the Atto 3.
