All-New Suzuki Swift Global Debut By May 2023

We reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki is working on the next-gen Swift hatchback, which has already been spotted testing in Europe. A new media report claims that the all-new Suzuki Swift will make global debut in the second quarter of 2023, between March to May. Maruti Suzuki is also preparing the next-gen Swift hatchback, which will be launched sometime in 2023-24.

The report claims that the all-new Suzuki Swift will come with a stylish exterior with rounded edges and aggressive lines. The cabin will also receive major changes in terms of quality, fit & finish and high-end features. The report claims that the new model could ride on a longer wheelbase, which should help in improving the space in the second-row seat & bigger boot.

New Maruti Swift Strong Hybrid

The previous spy images reveal that the all-new Suzuki Swift will be wider compared to the regular model. It will come with a newly-designed front grille and sleeker headlamps with new LED elements. The new front bumper will have wider and lower air intakes. The spotted model has new C-shaped air splitters with fog lamp clusters. It has new body panels along with the newly designed, larger alloy wheels in dual-tone finish. The hatchback will have blacked-out pillars, pronounced wheel arches with faux air vents and a roof-mounted spoiler.

The new 2023 Suzuki Swift will be designed on the modified version of the HEARTECT platform. This hatchback has a reputation for precise handling and fun to drive, and the same will be offered on the next-gen Swift hatchback.

Previous media reports claim that the all-new Suzuki Swift will come with a strong hybrid powertrain. It is likely to get a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with Toyota’s strong hybrid tech. This model is expected to offer a fuel efficiency of around 35-40kmpl. The regular model is likely to be offered with the existing 1.2L K12N Dualjet petrol engine that’s good for 89bhp and 113Nm. Both manual and AMT gearboxes are on offer.

Suzuki will also introduce the sportier version of the hatchback, the Swift Sport. This variant will come with a 1.4L Boosterjet turbo petrol motor that makes power worth 128bhp and 230Nm of torque.
