Toyota Innova Electric Concept Unveiled – Photos & Details
Toyota is currently testing an all-new MPV in India and Thailand. The new MPV is expected to be the next-gen Innova MPV, which will be launched in our market in 2023. Interestingly, a new Innova Electric concept has been leaked ahead of its official debut later today at the Indonesia International Auto Show in Jakarta.
The pictures reveal that the Toyota Innova Electric concept is in a prototype stage. The Japanese automaker could launch the electric MPV in select markets in the future. The concept seems to be based on the current generation of the MPV, which is on sale in India as the Innova Crysta. The vehicle spotted in our market looks different from the concept.
The Toyota Innova Electric concept appears similar to the current model; however, there are some changes to give it an electric look. The concept features a shut-off front grille with a hexagonal frame in the middle, flanked by LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs.
The concept comes with new front bumper that accommodates vertically positioned fog lamp housings. The side profile looks identical to the current car, except for the new alloy wheels. Also Blue graphics have been added on the sides, which indicates its electric nature.
Also visible are the EV badges and Innova EV decals behind the quarter panel. At the back, the MPV gets prominent “Electric” badge. Rest of the design is identical to the regular IC-engined version. The charging port is placed on the left rear portion.
The interior also shares the resemblance with the Innova Crysta. It gets a touchscreen infotainment system, a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a semi-digital instrument console, etc. Blue colour is also added inside the cabin to give it an electric feel.
