BSA Gold Star 650 (RE Interceptor Rival) Prices To Be Revealed In May 2022
Classic Legends had re-introduced the iconic BSA Motorcycle brand in December 2021. The company had showcased the new BSA Gold Star 650 at an event held at NEC Birmingham. It was announced that the new motorcycle will be launched by March 2022 that didn’t happen.
BSA has announced that the prices of the new Gold Star 650 motorcycle will be revealed by May 2022. The motorcycle is expected to be launched in the global market by June this year. BSA is currently setting up a dealer network.
To be manufactured in India, the BSA Gold Star motorcycle will first go on sale in UK. BSA might enter the Indian market in future; however, Classic Legends is yet to make an official announcement on the same. The new Gold Star motorcycle will also go on sale in the United States and Soutth American markets.
The new Gold Star 650 will direct rival the Royal Enfield 650 twins (Interceptor 650 & the Continental GT 650), which are already on sale in several international markets.
New BSA Gold Star 650 Specs
Powering the new BSA motorcycle is a 652cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 45bhp at 6000rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This 650cc single-cylinder DOHC comes with cooling fins and a large radiator. A fuel injector cover is also added that gives it an old-school appeal.
For braking, the bike gets a single 320mm Brembo twin-piston floating calliper at the front, and single 225mm Brembo single-piston floating calliper at the rear. Dual channel ABS comes as standard. The suspension system comprises of 41mm telescopic front forks and twin-shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload at the rear.
The motorcycle weighs 213kgs and has a fuel tank of 12-litres. It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod with 190/90 and 150/70 section Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp tyres respectively. It offers a seat height of 780mm.
