Tata Nexon, Harrier Might Soon Get 3 New Features – Details Here

Tata Motors keeps updating its existing model lineup with addition of new features, variants and editions. According to a fresh media report, the company might soon introduce three new features to its highly popular Tata Nexon and Harrier SUVs. Both models are likely to receive wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and ventilated front and rear seats as standard fitments.

The report further states that the Nexon and Harrier could also get unique features as standard from their Kaziranga Editions. Just so you know, the Tata Nexon and Harrier Kaziranga Editions come with the Black and Earthy Beige dual-tone interior theme with leatherette upholstery and door cards and a faux wood insert. Features such as an auto dimming interior rear-view mirror (IRVM), an in-built air purifier and Tata’s iRA connected car tech are also new on-board.

2021 Tata Harrier

No changes will be made under the hood. The Tata Nexon will continue to come with the 110bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol and 110bhp, 1.5L diesel engines. The Harrier SUV will use the 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel motor that’s good enough for 170bhp and 350Nm. Both SUVs come with manual and automatic gearbox options.

In other updates, the home-grown automaker is gearing up to launch the Tata Harrier petrol version in coming months. Its official launch date is yet to be announced. The SUV’s petrol model is likely to use the new 1.6L turbocharged DI engine that will deliver power close to 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. It will be offered with automatic gearbox, paddle shifters and multiple drive modes (including Sport mode).

Speculations are on rife that the Harrier petrol might get hybrid system at a later stage. With this update, the SUV will meet the upcoming CAFÉ II (Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency) emission standards that will be implemented from 1st April 2022.
