2022 Maruti Baleno Facelift Dealer-Level Bookings Open; Launch Details
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the new Baleno facelift in the month of February 2022. Ahead of the launch, Maruti Suzuki NEXA dealerships have started accepting pre-bookings for the 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift. It is reported that NEXA dealerships are quite excited about the new Baleno, which is the brand’s first major launch in past couple of years.
Production of the new Baleno facelift have already been commenced at the Suzuki’s Gujarat based plant. In fact, the first production model was rolled out on January 24, 2022. The new model is expected to go on sale in the second or third week of February 2022.
The new Maruti Baleno facelift will come with significantly revised exterior and completely new interior. The vehicle looks wider and bolder than the outgoing model. The front fascia of the hatchback gets a new larger grille & L-shaped wrap-around projector headlamps with LED DRLs (daytime running lamps), and a revised bonnet design.
Maruti Suzuki has revised the front and rear fenders for the new front design and tail-lights. At the back, the hatchback gets new tailgate and newly styled L-shaped tail-lights. It comes with newly styled bumpers.
The 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift will come with all-new interior with a re-designed dashboard and colour scheme. In fact, the cabin design is inspired by the global new S-Cross. It gets a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It is expected to get Heads-Up Display or HUD. The hatchback will also get connected car technology.
Previous spy images reveal that the 2022 Maruti Baleno will have all-new interior with a completely re-designed dashboard and colour scheme. The interior design is inspired by the global new S-Cross crossover. There is a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system dominating the central console, while the AC vents are now placed horizontally.
The top-of-the-line variants are expected to offer up to six airbags and ESP (Electronic Stability Program). It will retain the existing engine options – a 83bhp, 1.2L NA petrol and a 90bhp, 1.2L dualjet with 12V mild hybrid system. It was reported that the new model could get a Swift-like single clutch automatic or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
