Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo To Get Panoramic Sunroof; New Details
We reported earlier that Skoda is preparing a sportier & more premium version of the Kushaq mid-sized SUV. Adding to it, the company is also developing the Monte Carlo version of the Kushaq mid-sized SUV. A new report claims that the new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition is expected to be launched soon.
The new Skoda Kushaq is available in 3 trim levels – Active, Ambition and Style. The new Monte Carlo edition is expected to be based on the top-spec Style variant. The current Kushaq Style trim misses out on several features that are offered in several rivals.
It is expected that the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition will get high-end features, which are missing in the current model. The new model is expected to be equipped with a panoramic sunroof and a digital instrument console. The new model is also expected to feature the roof liner that is offered in the Slavia mid-sized sedan.
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is expected to be offered with the top-spec 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The Kushaq is available with two engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI. While the former is good for 113bhp of power and 178Nm of torque, the 1.5L petrol engine produces 147bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and a 7-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).
The company will launch the new Slavia mid-sized sedan in the first half of 2022, most probably in February-March. The new model will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. It shares the engine options with the Kushaq mid-sized SUV.
