2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender – Bigger Alloys, Dual-Tone Colour

Official prices of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift are scheduled to be announced on coming 6th January. The SUV will witness significant cosmetic changes and feature upgrades along with a more powerful engine. With the mid-life update, the Fortuner will receive a new Legender variant featuring sportier design bits inside and out. Ahead of its launch, the new Toyota Fortuner Legender has been revealed in clear pictures.

The spy pictures confirm that the new Toyota Fortuner Legender will come with bigger 20-inch alloy wheels and get dual-tone Pearl White with Matte Black paint scheme. Design elements such as glossy black front grille, full LED headlamps, deep-set fog lamps, prominent trapezoidal air dam, updated rear bumper and L-shaped faux air vents further distinguish it from the regular model.

Sporty treatment will continue inside the cabin as well. The Legender will feature a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. One must note that the regular 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift will come with an 8.0-inch info system. The list of feature might also include wireless phone charger, a 360 degree camera, lane departure warning, radar guided cruise control and more. Engine setup of the new Toyota Fortuner 2021 will include the updated 2.8L turbo diesel and 2.7L petrol units. While the oil burner makes a top power of 204bhp with 500Nm of torque, the gasoline unit delivers 164bhp with 245Nm. The petrol variants can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The diesel models will be available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Legender variant will be offered with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 2WD (two-wheel-drive) system only. The top-end trims will be exclusively offered with 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system.

Compared to the pre-facelift model, the updated one is likely to be priced around Rs 1 lakh more premium. At present, the SUV comes in the price range of Rs 28.7 lakh – Rs 34.5 lakh (all ex-showroom). Price of the Fortuner Legender is expected to be around Rs 40 lakh.
