2021 Toyota Innova Facelift Leaked Images Reveal Design Changes
First introduced in 2016, the current-gen Toyota Innova Crysta is already 4 years old and is set to receive a mid-life facelift. The company has recently introduced the Fortuner facelift in select South Asian markets. Now, the Japanese automaker will soon introduce the 2021 Toyota Innova facelift.
The Toyota Fortuner facelift has recently been spotted testing on the Indian markets. The updated model has all-new front fascia with new LED headlamps, grille and bumper. Similar changes will be made to the facelifted Innova Crysta. The MPV could also receive new tail-lamps and freshly designed alloys. Ahead of the debut, the 2021 Toyota Innova facelift has been leaked online via 3D model.
Inside the cabin, the Toyota Innova facelift will have a larger and improved touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The MPV is also expected to feature wireless charging, 360 degree camera and electrically adjustable front seats.
Engine options for the 2021 Toyota Innova facelift are likely to remain unchanged. In India, the MPV is available with two BS6-compliant engines – a 2.4-litre diesel and a 2.7-litres petrol. The petrol engine is capable of producing 164bhp of power and a peak torque of 245Nm. On the other hand, the oil burner is good for 148bhp and 343Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual with RWD (standard) and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (Optional).
The new model is expected to be introduced in select Asian markets including Thailand in the end of this year. In India, the MPV is likely to arrive in the first quarter of 2021. The company has recently introduced the Urban Cruiser sub-4 meter SUV, which is basically the re-badged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza. Toyota and Suzuki joint venture is also working on an all-new C-segment MPV, which will be positioned between the Ertiga and the Innova Crysta.
