Mahindra has trademarked the Scorpio X name, which is expected to be the new Scorpio-N based pick-up. The company had also filed trademarks for Scorpio K, Scorpio L, Scorpio M and Scorpio Z; however, only the Scorpio X has been accepted. Mahindra had showcased the Global Pik Up concept last year, which will enter production in near future. Internally called Z121, the Mahindra Scorpio-N based lifestyle pick-up will first go on sale in global markets including South Africa, Australia and the Middle East. Maruti Suzuki is aiming for a significant transformation to transition away from conventional petrol (ICE) vehicles by 2030-31.
