In order to further strengthen its position, Maruti Suzuki is now preparing to launch 3 new SUVs for the Indian market. The company will introduce a new electric SUV, which will be based on eVX concept in 2024. MSIL is also preparing a new 7-seater SUV, internally codenamed Y17 . Scheduled to be launched in 2025, the new 7-seater Maruti SUV will be positioned against the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and the Mahindra XUV700. The 7-seater Maruti SUV will be based on Suzuki’s Global-C platform that underpins the Grand Vitara and the Brezza. It is most likely to be the 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara. Maruti Suzuki is following Hyundai strategy, which is selling the Creta and the 7-seater Alcazar on the same platform. Revolt Motors has launched the new model in the RV400 electric motorcycle series. Called the Revolt RV400 BRZ, the new electric motorcycle is available at an introductory price tag of Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The e-bike is available in 5 vibrant colours including Lunar Green, Pacific Blue, Dark Silver, Rebel Red, and Cosmic Black. Revolt Motors claims that the new RV400 BRZ comes with an improved build quality and aesthetics. The new electric motorcycle is designed to cater to those who “prioritize a seamless and uncomplicated ride ensuring a pocket-friendly yet exhilarating experience of electric biking.” The new Revolt RV400 BRZ comes fitted with a 72V, 3.24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is claimed to offer a range of up to 150km in Eco Mode, 100km in Normal Mode, and 80km in Sport Mode. Tata Curvv EV Launch By Mid-2024; Harrier EV By Year-End

Tata Motors has announced that the production of electric vehicles at its Sanand based plant in Gujarat will commence in April 2024. The company will produce the Nexon electric at this plant, which Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd purchased the facility from Ford India for INR 725.7 crore in January last year. Speaking to PTI, Tata Motors MD Shailesh Chandra reveals that the company will introduce the Tata Curvv EV, ICE and Harrier EV in India in 2024. He reveals that the Tata Curvv EV will be launched in our market around the second or third quarter of this calendar year. Mr. Chandra further reveals that Tata Motors is hoping to launch the Harrier EV and the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of Curvv by the fag-end of this year. Maruti Suzuki has re-introduced its fuel saving mild-hybrid technology in the Brezza sub-4 meter SUV. However, only the manual version of the Maruti Brezza has received the mild-hybrid tech. The company had removed this fuel saving tech from the sub-4 meter SUV from the manual versions in July 2023. The Brezza MT mild-hybrid tech is only available in the higher-spec variants, with prices starting at Rs 11.15 lakh. Maruti Suzuki has introduced the mild-hybrid tech on the top-spec ZXI and ZXI+ manual variants of the Brezza.
